Our office has been a part of this community for a very long time. Dr. Husain was fortunate enough to take it over in April of 2006. We practice in a modern, well equipped and fully wheelchair accessible office. Dr. Husain has been practicing dentistry since 1995 after graduating from the University of Toronto. She has a keen interest in General practice for families and has taken advanced courses in the fields of cosmetics and comprehensive care. Our office team includes trained and experienced members consisting of hygiene therapists, certified assistants, receptionist and a treatment coordinator. Dr. Fawzia Husain has an undergraduate degree from 1991 in BioScience from the University of Manitoba. Born in Calgary, she spent much of her childhood traveling with her family around the world due to work opportunities. Dr. Husain promotes her profession in many different avenues. In the past she has served as president of the Waterloo Wellington Dental Society and represented the area as a councillor for the Ontario Dental Association. She is an active member of the local society and holds membership with the Canadian Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and The Toronto Crown and Bridge Study Club. Dr. Husain believes in comfortable, non threatening dentistry. She treats her patients as individuals and encourages their input into their dental health. Dental well being is individual to each patient and communication is essential in recognizing their needs and wishes. We practice all areas of dentistry with the highest degree of care and quality. Dr. Husain strongly believes in education for herself and her staff and sharing this knowledge with our patients. Dentistry aside, her passion lies in travel, good friends, family and food from all origins. Dr. Husain is married and has 2 children; a son Kamran and her daughter Sophia. They proudly call Waterloo their home.
