LDA Young Dentist Award: Dr. Jim is only the second dentist in history to receive the Young Dentist Award from the Louisiana Dental Association and served as PR Chairman. NODA President: He was President of the New Orleans Dental Association 2000/2001. PFA Fellow and Section Chairman: He recieved Fellowship to the prestigious Pierre Fauchard Academy and served as Chairman of the Louisiana Chapter from 2001 - 2003. AGD Fellow: With over 500 hours of continuing education, Dr. Roethele is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. IADFA Fellow: He is also a Fellow in the International Academy of Dental Facial Esthetics. Cofounder and President: Dr. Roethele is also a cofounder of the Innovative Dental Study Group where he serves as President. ASD: A 1983 graduate of USL, where he was the captain of the football team. As a member of the Academy for Sports Dentistry since 1989, Dr. Roethele has been the team dentist for many local athletic teams and was the Official Dentist of the Sugar Bowl. He has been interviewed on television, radio and the newspaper because of his involvement in organized dentistry and the community. LSU: Dr. Roethele is a 1989 graduate of LSU School of Dentistry. One of his presentations is titled "From Ow to Wow" which he has also provided for local communities and clubs. Woodlake Playground Booster Club President: Dr. Jim or "Coach Jim" as he is called during atletic competition in the city of Kenner has been involved with the Woodlake Gators since 2005 when his children were old enough to compete. He coached basketball and baseball, but his true passion is on the football field. He is served as President of the Booster Club from the untimely passing of Randy Luwe until August of 2013. Divine Mercy Catholic Church: Dr. Roethele and his wife Celeste were involved with the merger of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish and Nativity of our Lord Parish into Divine Mercy Parish. The served on the Capital Campaign Committee for the construction of a Church. Dr. Jim has been a member of the SEAS Parish holding Mass in the School cafeteria since 1987. Celeste is served as President of the SEAS Home and School Association.
